“Every Art should become Science and every Science should become Art………”

“2nd Science & Art Exhibition 2018” was held @ Stanford International School, Chananwal. It was a platform for the students to exhibit creative ideas in the discipline of Science, Punjabi, Social Sceince, Mathematics, Hindi, English, Commerce, Dance & Art. There were a number of working & non working models on display, revealing the creativity of the students. Students gave information to the inquisitive visitors about the models. The exhibition had been appreciated by Honourable Chief Guest Miss.Ruhee Dugg ADC (IAS) Barnala, Worthy management members Mr. Vijay Garg, Mr. Sandeep Garg, Mr. Chamkaur Singh Grewal, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Grewal and Principal Mr. Ghanshyam Das Naik. This Exhibition were graced by some prominent personalities like Mr. W.C Goyal, Mr. Pawan Laroiya, Mr. R.K Chaudhary, Mr. Gurjant Singh (Sarpanch Chananwal), Mr. Jasminder Singh (Sarpanch Dhaner). The exhibition showed the hidden talents of Stanfordian’s which can be seen by the huge attendance of parents and other surrounding masses.

SIS celebrated the 72nd “Independence day” with great fervor to commemorate the sacrifices made by great freedom fighters by organizing cultural activities like patriotic songs, making tricolor flags, delivering speeches etc. Flag Hoisting ceremony was performed by Respected Principal Sir Mr. Ghanshyam Dass Naik with all staff members and students.

“Teej” refers to the monsoon festival observed particularly in western and northern states of India. It marks the beginning of the festive season with social activities, rituals and customs. To celebrate this festival and make children aware of its importance Stanfordian’s wore colorful traditional dresses, applied Mehandi, had fun on swings and enjoyed traditional sweets. The dance on the tunes of traditional song was presented by kids. The contest of Stanford Punjaban and Mehandi Competition was also oraganised and the whole environment was full of festivity and zeal. The award of Miss STANFORDIAN PUNJABAN was achieved by Ms. Jasmine Kaur Johal ( 12th Com ) and the winner of Mehndi competition is Ms. Manjinder Kaur (12th Com). The honourable Management Member Mr. Vijay Garg (Chairman), Mr. Chamkaur Singh (Vice-Chairman) and Respected Principal Sir Mr. Ghanshyam Dass Naik and all staff member along with girl students enjoyed and celebrated the festival.

” Life is Cool by the Pool “ …. Fun # Masti # Entertainment # Happiness . Nowadays the summer is on its peak and its time to celebrate the swimming . So We had arranged “ Swimming Pool Day “ from Nursery to 2nd Class. Kids enjoyed jumping, dancing, splashing as well as bathing and enjoyed various types of rides. It was a refreshing day for them.

Let’s salute to heroes of the Kargil war.
Stanfordians conducted a special assembly to pay tribute to the Heroes of KARGIL WAR and other troops who sacrificed their lives and won the war at Kargil. On this occasion, Students performed dance on patriotic songs to pay a tribute to the Indian armed forces and Respected Principal Sir Mr. Ghanshyam Dass Naik had delivered a speech on the importance of this day and urged the students to remember the sacrifice the great martyrs and appreciated the efforts put in by the students.

CULINARY COMPETITION @ No Cook…No Bake.. No Fuss…..

Stanfordians of 6th to 8th Classes had prepared variety of delicious dishes – Biscuit Cake #Chocolate Cake # Sandwich, Jam Toast # Lemon Drink by their excellent culinary skills. Respected Principal Sir Mr. Ghanshyam Dass Naik observed this competition minutely and appreciated the skills of participants.

The #Night_Sky_Watching_Program refers to views of celestial bodies such as stars, the Moon, and planets that become visible on a clear night after the Sun has set. Stanfordian’s as well as students from the other schools had participated in this program with full fervor. This program was integrated with Planet Visible like Venus, Jupiter & Ice Mountain on moon. It was organised under the collaboration of Science City Kapurthala.

The “INVESTITURE CEREMONY” for the academic session 2018-19 was held recently with great pomp and dignity @ SIS. Miss. Harmanpreet Kaur Randhawa ( 12th Sci ) was bestowed as the Head Girl and Mr. Simarpreet Singh ( 12th Com) was bestowed as the Head Boy. The Sports Captain ( Boy ) Mr Akashdeep Singh, Sports Captain ( Girl ) Miss. Anuraj Kaur, House Vice Captain, Vice – House Captains and House Prefects were the key members of the New Student Council. The designated students were conferred with the badges and sashes by Principal Sir Mr. Ghanshyam Dass Naik. The Student Council took the pledge to uphold the motto of the school “Faith and Follow, Act and Achieve, Serve and Smile”. Respected Principal Sir appreciated and congratulated to the elected student council.
